This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain financial models and forecasts from the ground up in Excel for planning, forecasting, and decision-making purposes.
• Assess trends and drivers to clarify current situations and their underlying reasons.
• Review outcomes against plans and expectations, providing clear explanations for any discrepancies.
• Assist in corporate and non-labor expense planning while ensuring forecasts remain up-to-date.
• Take charge of comprehensive financial planning and accounting for technology investments, which includes the capitalization and amortization of internally developed software.
• Analyze three-statement financials and link operational decisions to financial results.
• Present organized findings and elucidate methodologies to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to facilitate planning discussions.
• Leverage Adaptive, automation, and AI to enhance financial processes.
• Assume responsibility for assigned tasks, ensuring follow-through and escalating unfamiliar issues when necessary.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling, including the ability to create functional models from scratch.
• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles, three-statement financials, and the connections between operational and financial flows.
• Capability to analyze trends and convey findings clearly, supported by evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to cultivate trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguous or incomplete data.
• Sound judgment regarding the best course of action or when to escalate issues.
• Willingness to embrace AI and technology in financial modeling and analysis.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
• Must reside in the United States and have reliable Internet access.
• Full attention is required during scheduled work hours; overlapping work or job stacking is prohibited.
• Must be on camera during training and as needed throughout the workday post-training.
• Preferred: experience with capitalization and amortization of technology costs or internally developed software.
• Preferred: familiarity with Adaptive or similar planning tools, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Preferred: experience in a startup or rapidly growing environment.
