Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.

• Analyze discrepancies between actual and projected financial outcomes, providing explanations and suggestions.

• Develop financial models to support business planning, investment choices, and strategic initiatives.

• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate risks and opportunities.

• Create and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management review.

• Monitor and analyze KPIs to assess business performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial analysis requirements.

• Offer data-driven insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and profitability.

• Conduct analyses and forecasting of capital expenditures to aid in cash flow management and decision-making.

• Support mergers and acquisitions, capital expenditure evaluations, and other strategic projects.

• Assist with automation and process enhancement initiatives within the finance department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• 1–4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a comparable role.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions.

• Experience with financial planning tools like Hyperion and ERP systems such as Netsuite.

• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.

• Ability to interpret complex financial information and deliver valuable insights.

• High attention to detail and precision.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and senior management.

• Competence in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Proactive and self-driven, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

• CPA, CFA, or MBA, or actively pursuing certification, is a plus.
