Financial Control and Operations, Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete month-end closing process for all entities, ensuring closure is achieved within 10 working days each month.

• Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments while establishing a QA process to guarantee zero material errors.

• Manage the multi-entity general ledger in Xero.

• Supervise intercompany accounting and reconciliations across various entities.

• Oversee accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations.

• Manage accounts receivable, including aged debtors and follow-up on collections.

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations across all entity bank accounts.

• Ensure that cash disbursements are authorized and accurately recorded.

• Handle tax filings, including GST/VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax.

• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate annual audits.

• Ensure adherence to local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust financial controls.

• Identify control gaps and process risks, implementing necessary improvements.

• Aid in process documentation, develop SOPs, and enhance finance systems.

• Directly manage and mentor three Finance Accountants.

• Set task allocations, priorities, and expectations, particularly during closing cycles.

• Foster accountability, accuracy, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

• Address team inquiries and escalate issues to the VP Finance as necessary.

• Support the onboarding process for new team members.

• Provide precise financial data to FP&A for reporting and forecasting purposes.

• Coordinate process transitions to Revenue Management and Finance Transformation.

• Collaborate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.

• Assist with acquisition due diligence and financial integration activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance operations or accounting.

• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a management role.

• Demonstrated experience in managing multi-entity accounting across different jurisdictions.

• Hands-on experience with Xero, particularly with multi-currency, multi-entity setups, and reconciliation workflows.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS/MFRS, financial controls, and compliance standards.

• Proven track record of owning and enhancing month-end close processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

• Experience collaborating with external auditors and managing statutory reporting responsibilities.

• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent designation are preferred.

• Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with post-acquisition financial integration is advantageous.

• Knowledge of payroll accounting across Southeast Asian and ANZ jurisdictions is preferred.

• Experience in a streamlined finance team where ownership and initiative are critical is preferred.
