Financial Analyst – Pre-Award

📋 Description

• The Financial Management Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of programs, including budget planning, execution, and reporting, adhering to the Department of Defense (DoD) financial management processes.

• This position is responsible for ensuring the effective allocation and monitoring of funds, aiding mission objectives through precise financial analysis, and maintaining compliance with federal budgeting standards. It involves close collaboration with program leadership, financial management teams, and external stakeholders to guarantee fiscal accountability and alignment with mission goals.

• This role is off-site and part-time, accounting for one-quarter (0.25) of a full-time equivalent (FTE) position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong knowledge of DoD financial management processes, including PPBE.

• Expertise in financial forecasting, cost estimation, and budget analysis.

• Capability to track and reconcile program funds from various funding sources.

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

• Excellent skills in reporting and documentation.

• Familiarity with congressional budget processes and justification requirements.

• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

• Proven experience in DoD budget execution and financial management.

• Experience in cost estimation, financial forecasting, and program financial reporting.

• Practical experience with defense financial management systems.

• Experience in supporting congressional budget justification processes.

• Demonstrated ability to perform funding reconciliation and expenditure tracking.

• Experience in aligning program funding with DoD financial planning processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of five (5) years of equivalent experience in financial management.
