This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Facilitate organization-wide donor budgeting and financial reporting by reviewing donor financial documents for accuracy, completeness, fee structure, compliance with Ipas and donor best practices, and cost recovery.
• Assist global teams with donor budgeting and financial reporting for various awards.
• Design and maintain award budgeting and reporting templates.
• Create guidance, templates, tools, and training materials to enhance financial capacity.
• Participate in Ipas’s annual operating budget process by disseminating global guidance, consolidating budgets, performing analyses, and identifying trends.
• Evaluate financial-related business processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Monitor financial metrics and prepare analyses of financial trends to enhance financial management and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify, conduct preliminary analysis, and escalate financial compliance and ERP issues.
• Upload and manage donor-approved project and award budgets in Workday.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) with a foundational understanding of accounting, finance, business administration, or a related specialized field.
• Two years of relevant professional experience in a financial role.
• Capability to grasp the programmatic implications of financial management and convey financial knowledge to both Finance and non-Finance audiences.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to develop solutions for unusual and complex challenges.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the effective use of pivot tables and advanced charting functions to analyze and present financial data.
• Preferred experience in cross-cultural communication skills.
• Familiarity with data exploration and visual analytics concepts is preferred.
• Preferred experience with Power BI and ERP systems, particularly Workday.
• Experience working within the international NGO sector is preferred.
• Working proficiency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese is preferred.
