This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Provide support for financial planning, cost analysis, inventory management, and reporting in a manufacturing setting.
• Maintain and assess material cost records, standard costs, and associated costing data.
• Execute regular updates of material costs and analyze the financial implications of changes in raw materials, labor, overhead, and supply costs.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to planned figures for manufacturing expenditures, production efficiency, inventory activities, and cost center outcomes.
• Create financial analytics, dashboards, and reports that detail cost trends, inventory fluctuations, expense performance, anticipated spending, and opportunities for increased efficiency.
• Prepare regular cost reconciliation reports.
• Aid in the budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing cost centers.
• Examine inventory valuation, movements, obsolescence, discards, cycle count results, and physical inventory actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Finance to explore cost variances, inventory inconsistencies, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Manage fixed asset records and assess depreciation, capital activities, and associated expense effects.
• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, supply chain, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, inventory analysis, or manufacturing finance is required.
• A solid understanding of product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost drivers is preferred.
• Experience in analyzing large datasets and creating financial reports, trend analyses, reconciliations, and actionable business insights is essential.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX concepts is preferred.
• Prior experience with ERP systems is required; familiarity with SAP is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are mandatory.
• Experience with analytics or reporting tools is preferred.
