Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Forecasting expenses, budgeting, strategic planning, and analyzing monthly variances.

• Acting as a finance business partner to multiple departments by providing reporting, modeling, and analysis to enhance efficiency and promote business growth.

• Creating and/or refining reporting packages for various business sectors to assist leaders in understanding the financial implications of their operations within the company.

• Making prompt decisions and drawing relevant conclusions from the analysis of available business and financial data.

• Conducting ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities (preferably gained in the software/technology sector or in support of an organization with a recurring revenue business model).

• Familiarity with an enterprise-level financial planning system.

• Possess the executive presence and demeanor necessary to collaborate closely with the executive team in a fast-paced, demanding setting.

• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and capable of working productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information in support of a rapidly evolving organization.

• High level of integrity, consistently striving to accomplish tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

• MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, particularly in a finance business partner role.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Self-motivated with the capacity to prioritize effectively and collaborate with colleagues across businesses and locations in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent computer skills are essential, including a high level of demonstrated expertise in Excel and familiarity with an enterprise-level financial planning system.
