This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Execute a range of tasks, including developing forecasts and performing financial analyses.
• Deliver actionable insights to enhance decision-making and contribute to the financial strategy and planning of the organization.
• Engage in the preparation of the agency's budget.
• Assist in the development of contract renewal packages, including amendments and budget modifications.
• Prepare and evaluate operating and strategic plans, encompassing monthly and quarterly forecasts.
• Create intricate worksheets and/or databases for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Offer financial and technical expertise on projects that necessitate complex financial analysis.
• Generate monthly budget monitoring reports for corporate finance, detailing budget versus actual variances.
• Compile and distribute monthly operating management reports and participate in financial review meetings.
• Aid in the preparation of financial statements, periodic contract-based cost reports, and year-end reports.
• Support financial reporting, including the creation of supporting schedules and data analysis.
• Conduct monthly expense monitoring and analysis.
• Carry out related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in extracting insights from reports and/or dashboards using reporting tools similar to Power BI is highly desirable.
• Intermediate understanding of budget development/management, cost projections, and reporting requirements.
• Advanced skills in personal computing, including the ability to prepare complex Excel spreadsheets, perform routine word processing, and create presentations for a sophisticated audience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to foster relationships and build consensus both internally and externally.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Analytical skills, experience, and sound judgment to present and elucidate financial analyses.

• Capability to adapt to evolving needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
