Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate trends in operations and expenses

• Support corporate operational staff and ownership with financial assessments

• Conduct financial modeling to evaluate property performance and provide recommendations

• Keep abreast of current industry market conditions and trends

• Underwrite acquisition targets and create analytical reports

• Review and suggest budgets by comparing current results with pro forma financials

• Provide recommendations on whether to hold, sell, or refinance

• Prepare and deliver presentations for new and existing investments

• Assist in the acquisition, financing, and disposition processes

• Help with investor reporting inquiries

• Facilitate monthly reporting, analysis of trends, forecasting, and projections

• Offer recommendations concerning property operations

• Assess the value of existing real estate assets based on historical operational and financial performance

• Model the future financial performance of real estate assets using operating standards and due diligence data

• Compile, log, and analyze due diligence information relating to financial and real estate asset performance, physical condition of assets, market conditions, and third-party reports

• Conduct financial analysis of transactions, including cash-on-cash and leveraged/unleveraged returns

• Create investment analysis packages featuring transaction and market overviews, financial evaluations, and sensitivity analyses

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred

• Prior operational experience in residential property management, ideally in student housing

• Strong critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical abilities

• Comprehensive understanding of financial concepts

• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated organizational skills with a keen attention to detail

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Capability to handle large datasets in Excel

• Experience with Entrata software is advantageous
