This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Provide guidance to students regarding tuition payment options, financial aid resources, and application processes.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments (Admissions, Student Accounts, Registrar, Advising) to meet the financial needs of students.
• Gather and validate financial aid documents to ensure the completion of student files.
• Keep precise records and conduct timely data entry within university systems.
• Advise students with outstanding balances or past-due accounts to explore additional financing options.
• Respond swiftly to student inquiries and follow up to guarantee resolution.
• Engage in student registration and retention programs.
• Remain informed about federal financial aid regulations and university policies.
• Attend training sessions and participate in ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Achieve a minimum of 80% “ready time” on the inbound phone queue.
• An Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• A comprehensive understanding of Title IV funds, regulations, and eligibility criteria is essential.
• Exceptional communication skills via phone, email, and in-person interactions; must maintain a positive demeanor.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with all members of the financial aid team to enhance the student experience.
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications and university systems.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Energetic and goal-driven; keen interest in thriving in a dynamic environment that necessitates multitasking.
• Candidates are required to connect their equipment directly to their home router (a 50-foot Ethernet cable will be provided by Post).
• Wireless connections are not supported.
• The home Internet minimum requirements include a download speed of 25 Mb, an upload speed of 15 Mb, and a ping rate of less than 60.
• Upload speed is crucial for ensuring a stable audio connection within the phone system.
• Candidates whose home network speed does not satisfy the minimum requirements should independently contact their ISP to upgrade their service before their confirmed start date.
• Candidates must have a stable Internet connection and a designated private home office or alternative workspace that is free from noise and distractions.
