This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Oversee and uphold client business accounts while acting as a resource for clients and their families regarding funding options for treatment.
• Manage all third-party insurance processes for patients, which includes determining and verifying benefits, conducting financial interviews with clients or guardians, and following up on financial commitments while ensuring consistency.
• Engage in individual case benefit negotiations under the supervision of a manager.
• Supply relevant financial information to staff concerning clients. Inform staff about the appropriate funding classifications in accordance with established procedures.
• Facilitate the registration process for all new and returning clients, which encompasses concurrent documentation in the EHR of demographic details, reviewing and confirming the completion of initial paperwork, and effective communication with clients and staff regarding site-specific admissions.
• Verify Medicaid/Medicare or other insurance coverage and confirm/update Financial Eligibility and Authorizations (as applicable) for all new clients and at least once a month for all active clients.
• Assist clients with the Medicaid application process as necessary and applicable.
• Coordinate payment activities in accordance with patient/agency agreements. Accept client payments and ensure precise payment handling and documentation per current standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate funding documentation related to daily census activities as necessary.
• Support clients with the Patient Assistance application process and track the granting and application of Patient Assistance funds.
• Complete Medicaid/Managed Medicaid/Commercial Insurance authorization requests promptly following standard operating procedures.
• Enter authorizations for all guarantors into the EHR as applicable.
• Provide suitable documentation and reports intended to aid in the fiscal management of the agency.
• Comprehend and adhere to all principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and the Code of Conduct.
• Execute all responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
• Consistently offer exceptional customer service to every client.
• Act as a role model for other staff, clients, and customers, showcasing positive guest relations while representing Rosecrance.
• Undertake additional related responsibilities as assigned by management.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience with third-party insurance claims is essential.
• Proficient in computer data entry.
• Strong verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Must possess the emotional and medical capacity to perform essential job duties.
• Must be free from any active or infectious diseases.
