This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily closing activities across various entities, which includes reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules.
• Prepare both entity-level and consolidated financial statements, encompassing P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for review.
• Manage intercompany accounts, including eliminations and reconciliations.
• Process B2B accounting entries, revenue, fees, settlements, and monitor client balances.
• Track client balances, commissions, and transactions related to partners.
• Collaborate effectively with teams from Settlement, Assurance, and Operations.
• Transform complex, high-volume B2B transactions into clear, auditable records.
• Assist in maintaining control processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Implement appropriate accounting treatments for cryptocurrency-related transactions, such as valuation, fees, and taxes.
• Keep up-to-date, practical, and audit-ready documentation.
• Provide support for audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting across different jurisdictions.
• Aid in budgeting and forecasting with accurate entity-level data.
• Proactively identify and highlight potential issues and risks.
• Report directly to the CFO and collaborate with Finance, Settlement, and Assurance teams.
• 2–5 years of relevant financial accounting experience.
• Possession of a professional qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or CPA; either qualified or progressing towards it.
• Solid foundation in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards.
• Experience in a dynamic, high-volume setting where financial transactions are significant, such as fintech, banking, microfinance, manufacturing, FMCG, or a busy accounting firm.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors prior to submission.
• Proficient in working with well-structured spreadsheets.
• Reliable and organized, with a strong ability to manage work independently.
• Experience in accounting for cryptocurrency assets or exchanges is a plus.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms would be advantageous.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional environments is a plus.
