Finance Operations Associate, Accounts Payable Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume full responsibility for essential finance processes in a dynamic role, addressing issues and closing process gaps where appropriate.

• Opportunity to innovate, design, and implement new processes and technological solutions as we grow, transforming manual, repetitive tasks into streamlined systems and processes.

• Manage vendor onboarding and maintain master-data integrity (W9 / W8 collection, banking detail verification - a crucial fraud control measure - and payment terms establishment).

• Execute weekly payment cycles across various entities and bank accounts, overseeing accounts payable and resolving overdue payments.

• Conduct vendor statement reconciliation and perform a 3-way match (PO / receipt / invoice) when applicable.

• Oversee the corporate card program (Ramp) ensuring policy compliance and proper receipt/coding adherence.

• Facilitate intercompany transactions between Treeline and acquired operating entities.

• Assist with month-end closing by handling accounts payable accruals, prepaid schedules, and ensuring accurate GL/entity coding.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or operations role - recent graduates and career changers encouraged to apply.

• Formal accounting education (e.g. degree in accounting or CPA) with proficiency in financial statement reporting. Familiarity with the accounts payable cycle, debits/credits, and basic reconciliation is essential.

• Reliable and responsive, with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume, repetitive tasks.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clarify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where procedures are still being developed, and comfort with uncertainty is necessary.

• Practical experience with accounts payable/expense tools (bill.com, Ramp) or accounting ERPs (Quickbooks, NetSuite, Campfire).
