This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, coding, and adherence to policies
• Input invoices into the accounting system and prepare them for payment processing
• Assist in statement reconciliation and the processing of invoices
• Execute payment runs and prepare checks or electronic transfers for approved invoices
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to secure payment approvals
• Foster vendor relationships and address any payment-related concerns
• Evaluate and process employee expense reports, ensuring receipt verification and policy compliance
• Guarantee prompt reimbursement of employee expenses
• Keep organized and precise records of accounts payable transactions
• Aid in month-end closing activities and furnish audit documentation
• Provide support for multiple properties within the portfolio
• Produce regular accounts payable status reports
• Assist with month-end close and reporting deadlines, which may occasionally require extended hours
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or a related area
• Knowledge of accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and precision in data entry
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Additional education in accounting or finance is advantageous
• Capability to support multiple properties across the portfolio
• Willingness to assist with month-end close and reporting deadlines, including potential extended hours
