This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create and sustain intricate Excel-based financial models for various programs, service line enhancements, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.
• Construct pro formas that incorporate NPV, IRR, and ROI analyses by utilizing volume, payer mix, reimbursement, and cost structure drivers.
• Conduct scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to assess risk quantitatively.
• Assess the feasibility and financial sustainability of business opportunities.
• Acquire and integrate data from Epic and other enterprise systems for financial evaluations.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics and IT teams to specify data requirements, formulate queries, and merge datasets.
• Maintain data integrity and consistency across various analyses.
• Convert complex datasets into actionable financial insights and deliverables suitable for executive review.
• Optimize financial workflows and enhance reporting efficiency.
• Establish processes, tools, and best practices for financial modeling and analytics.
• Engage in the implementation and optimization of decision support tools, reporting frameworks, and data governance strategies.
• Create Tableau and Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Educate and guide finance colleagues and business partners on analytical tools and financial modeling methodologies.
• Act as a strategic finance consultant for operational and executive leaders throughout the Presbyterian Healthcare Services enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, accounting, finance, or a related quantitative field.
• 5–10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in healthcare delivery finance, cost accounting, or medical economics.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare delivery operations.
• Direct experience with analytics related to make-versus-buy decisions, cost of care delivery, population health programs, reimbursement methodologies, payer contracting, incentive strategies, and value-based reimbursement.
• Preferred experience in an integrated healthcare system.
• Exceptional analytical skills and capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare information standards, including ICD-9/10, CPT codes, HCPCS codes, MS-DRG, ETGs, RBRVS, and cost accounting methodologies.
• Experience with healthcare data systems, such as Epic Revenue Cycle, Professional Billing, Hospital Billing, Clarity/Caboodle, or similar platforms.
• Ability to compile, integrate, and analyze extensive datasets from various systems.
• Strong understanding of the interrelationships between volume, reimbursement, cost, and margin.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical tools like SAS, Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, and Strata.
• Prior experience with Business Objects and relational databases.
• Skilled in preparing PowerPoint presentations and simplifying complex information for visualization.
