Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Play an active role in the month-end closing processes for designated entities.

• Assess the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries.

• Conduct monthly account evaluations and reconciliations.

• Generate variance analyses along with financial commentary.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate audit and review processes.

• Execute profitability analyses for the assigned entities and products.

• Provide clear, well-structured, and actionable financial insights to aid management in decision-making.

• Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to assist in analysis.

• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support informed decision-making.

• Ensure all models and outputs comply with IFRS accounting standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of pertinent experience in finance or accounting.

• CPA designation is mandatory.

• Strong background in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling.

• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with BI or reporting tools is considered advantageous.

• Experience with (or eagerness to learn about) AI for process automation and efficiency enhancement.

• Comfortable working in a multi-entity and fast-paced setting.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

• Strong business acumen and an understanding of the operational factors that affect financial performance.

• Ability to establish trusted relationships and influence the decision-making of business partners.

• Constructive critical thinking skills: capable of questioning assumptions and offering tangible recommendations.
