This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Record and evaluate all sources of revenue (memberships, donations, course sales, sponsorships)
• Design dashboards to monitor financial indicators (e.g., renewal rates, monthly revenue)
• Generate financial statements, oversee budgets, and project cash flow
• Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team on targeted initiatives (membership drives, donations, course launches)
• Work in tandem with the Operations Manager to align membership pricing and event fees with financial goals
• Apply for grants, identify potential donor-advised funds for partnerships, and seek additional nonprofit funding options
• Create membership benefit packages (tiered perks, exclusive content) to encourage signups and renewals
• Execute donor engagement strategies (thank-you letters, recognition programs) to cultivate loyalty
• Ensure adherence to nonprofit regulations and international financial standards (when applicable)
• Maintain documentation for audits and reporting to the board
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline (CPA or experience in nonprofit financial management is preferred)
• Over 3 years of experience in financial analysis, budget oversight, or fundraising within the nonprofit arena
• Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) as well as Excel/Google Sheets
• Experience with Stripe, PayPal, or other payment processing systems is advantageous.
