This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute financial planning, analysis, and budgeting for the development of funder proposals.
• Assist in the grantmaking process by evaluating the financial positions of grantees.
• Create and sustain up-to-date programmatic budgets.
• Collaborate with the Accounting department on budget-to-actual reporting.
• Work in conjunction with various departments during the organizational budgeting and planning phases.
• Prepare budgets for incoming funder proposals alongside Philanthropic Partnerships and Program teams.
• Facilitate budget meetings and address funder inquiries regarding submitted budgets.
• Participate in cost recovery analysis and projections.
• Maintain reports that pertain to pricing and cost recovery.
• Oversee interest income accrued from funding sources and suggest appropriate usage.
• Examine and analyze monthly funding tables that include prospective and committed funding.
• Offer ad-hoc financial analyses and analytical support as required.
• Review financial documents from grantees and provide recommendations based on their financial status.
• Reconcile and update information on funding sources.
• Assist the grants team with grants and contracts-related tasks.
• Provide additional support to the Finance team as needed.
• Report directly to the Senior Director of Finance.
• Bachelor's degree with coursework in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of seven years' professional experience, encompassing financial planning, modeling, and analysis.
• Possess a high level of responsibility and responsiveness, coupled with a positive attitude.
• A collaborative team player both within the group and across the organization.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented individual.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively with existing systems and resources while pursuing improvement.
• Basic understanding of nonprofit accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High competency with other Windows applications, including Word and Outlook.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Adaptive / Workday is advantageous.
• Background in nonprofit organizations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is beneficial.
• Experience using Asana is a plus.
