This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee customer invoicing and contract billing operations
• Track accounts receivable and manage collection efforts
• Process and reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Assist in payroll review, reporting, and liaising with HR and payroll providers
• Generate monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, and associated documentation
• Monitor contract funding, labor usage, and project financial outcomes
• Aid in budget development, forecasting, and expense monitoring
• Maintain financial documentation and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assist in external audits, financial assessments, and compliance with government contract regulations
• Collaborate with program managers and leadership to track project spending and financial performance
• Support financial due diligence, data gathering, and integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and corporate growth strategies
• Propose process enhancements to boost efficiency, reporting precision, and financial transparency
• Proven experience in supporting federal government contractors
• Familiarity with Unanet, QuickBooks, Deltek, or comparable accounting software
• Knowledge of government contract invoicing and project financial management
• Experience with financial audits, reviews, or acquisition integrations
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
• Experience with SCA contracts is advantageous
• At least three years of experience in federal government contracting settings is preferred
• Understanding of FAR, CAS, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures is beneficial
• Experience with small to mid-sized federal government contractors is desirable
• Background in managing audits, incurred cost submissions, and financial compliance initiatives is preferred
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with team members and leadership
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to convey financial information clearly and professionally
• Self-motivated with a dedication to continuous improvement
• Uphold integrity and professionalism when managing confidential financial data
• Adaptability to support a growing organization in a dynamic government contracting landscape
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision
