Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Algeria.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily financial operations of the company, including accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and management reports.

• Create and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.

• Track cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to maintain financial health.

• Evaluate financial performance, recognize trends, and offer actionable insights to management.

• Ensure adherence to local tax laws, accounting principles, and statutory reporting obligations.

• Facilitate external audits and coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

• Develop and uphold effective internal controls and financial policies.

• Assist in pricing strategies, profitability assessments, and financial modeling for software products and services.

• Supervise project profitability, revenue recognition, and cost distribution for software development initiatives.

• Collaborate with department leaders to aid in budgeting and financial decision-making.

• Discover opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement automation where applicable.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the finance team to ensure optimal performance and ongoing improvement.

• Generate ad hoc financial reports and business analyses as required by senior management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field.

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.

• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.

• Experience in a software, SaaS, or technology company is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial management software.

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP accounting standards.

• Experience with revenue recognition principles, especially in software or SaaS sectors.

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.

• Experience with ERP platforms like Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Odoo, or similar.

• Knowledgeable in financial analysis, cash flow management, taxation, and internal controls.
