Finance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of daily finance and accounting functions for Certa's India division, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger management, and month-end and quarter-end closures.

• Ensure adherence to Indian legal and regulatory standards, including compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, ROC/MCA filings, transfer pricing, and FEMA/RBI obligations.

• Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and advisors.

• Oversee statutory and internal audits, enhance internal controls, and maintain precise Ind AS/Indian GAAP records that align with global reporting standards.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting for the India entity.

• Supervise treasury operations, cash flow management, banking relations, and vendor and contract governance.

• Drive automation and enhancement of finance processes and systems.

• Contribute to the development and mentorship of the India finance team as the company expands.

• Collaborate with the global finance team and various cross-functional stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in finance and accounting.

• Proven experience in managing finance operations for an India entity.

• Ideally, experience in a rapidly growing B2B SaaS or technology firm.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is highly preferred or equivalent qualification.

• Strong understanding of Ind AS/Indian GAAP.

• Familiarity with US GAAP is advantageous.

• Extensive knowledge of Indian statutory and tax compliance, including GST, TDS, income tax, transfer pricing, ROC/MCA, and FEMA/RBI regulations.

• Practical experience in executing month-end closures, audits, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes.

• Solid experience with internal controls.

• Proficient in accounting/ERP systems.

• Strong skills in Excel and financial modeling.

• Proven history of enhancing or automating finance processes.

• Exceptional communication abilities and capacity to collaborate with a distributed global finance team and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adept at establishing processes in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
