Finance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the annual budgeting process.

• Manage operating forecasts and runway models.

• Assist in capital allocation decisions.

• Create business metrics and performance reports.

• Offer decision support to the leadership team.

• Oversee cash forecasting and liquidity planning.

• Maintain relationships with banks and ensure operational controls.

• Support initiatives related to treasury.

• Monitor both short and long-term capital needs.

• Coordinate financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis.

• Prepare reporting packages for the board, investors, and management.

• Complete periodic audit confirmations for shareholders and investors.

• Maintain financial models and planning assumptions.

• Supervise accounting close processes through external providers.

• Manage interactions with accounting, tax, and audit firms.

• Coordinate with external advisors and service providers.

• Ensure compliance obligations are met in a timely manner.

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations.

• Maintain finance policies and procedures.

• Support internal controls suited to the company's size and stage.

• Ensure consistency across all recurring finance operations.

• Assist leadership with special projects as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant finance experience.

• Strong background in FP&A and financial modeling.

• Experience in startups, growth-stage companies, or venture-backed environments.

• Comfortable managing external accounting and tax service providers.

• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.

• Ability to work independently with minimal structure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High ownership mentality with a proactive approach.

• Bonus Experience: Knowledge of crypto, digital assets, or blockchain; experience in treasury management; legal entity restructuring; board and investor reporting; and experience in international organizations.
