This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of analysts by overseeing workload planning, prioritization, coaching, and performance enhancement.
• Ensure the implementation of best practices for configuration, testing, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Manage the intake, triage, and prioritization of requests for Finance systems.
• Govern the enhancement backlog and develop governance frameworks for configuration, documentation, and change control.
• Supervise the quality of configuration, system controls, posting rules, validations, approvals, and audit-readiness documentation.
• Act as the product manager for the Workday systems roadmap, defining scope, sequencing, and business value.
• Direct enhancements, automation, process redesign, system optimization, and roadmap delivery.
• Foster alignment among Finance, HR, Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, and IT stakeholders.
• Coordinate the deployment and adoption of new features.
• Lead the planning for Workday’s semi-annual releases, including impact assessments, regression testing strategies, stakeholder communication, and business readiness.
• Oversee Workday Financials and the lifecycle management of other Finance Controller’s Office systems.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including managing complex configurations, functional architecture, and cross-domain financial processes.
• Proven experience in leading Workday enhancements, functional design and redesign, and solution architecture, as well as automation initiatives across Accounting, AP, Payroll, Procurement, and other Finance functions.
• Proficient in configuring Workday business processes, validations and condition rules, allocations and financial frameworks, and security groups.
• Experience in managing Workday release cycles, including impact analysis, regression testing strategies, stakeholder communication, and business readiness planning.
• Skilled in developing advanced and composite reports, calculated fields, and analytics datasets.
• Background in supporting or managing multiple finance systems in addition to Workday, including involvement in system implementations or upgrades.
• Experience collaborating with IT on Workday integrations, security, and technical escalations.
• Extensive expertise in Workday, including configuration leadership across business processes, validations, posting rules, approvals, and reporting logic.
• Strong grasp of Workday core finance processes—period close, procure-to-pay, payroll, record-to-report—and their execution, control, and optimization within Workday.
• In-depth knowledge of Workday’s data model, including the FDM, cost centers, spend categories, ledger structures, and accounting rules.
• Capable of leading solution design and assessing complex configuration impacts.
• Ability to manage and develop a high-performing functional team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities, multiple projects, deadlines, and release cycles.
• Strategic mindset that connects Finance Controller’s Office priorities with Workday roadmap decisions, automation opportunities, and long-term architectural direction.
• Competence in overseeing a multi-system environment and evaluating how new tools integrate with Workday and Finance processes.
