Finance Automation Solution Designer, Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the solution design for automating finance operations utilizing Redwood Finance Automation.

• Evaluate the existing record-to-report processes in collaboration with controllers and finance operations leaders.

• Create a design for automation processes for period-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.

• Identify where standard Redwood capabilities can be utilized and where extensions are warranted.

• Design integration solutions with SAP S/4HANA or ECC, as well as other source systems.

• Establish rules for balance sheet auto-certification, controls, approvals, and audit trails.

• Provide guidance to engineers during the build phase and review deliverables against the established solution design.

• Define the testing strategy and acceptance criteria in collaboration with finance users.

• Stay engaged throughout the build, testing, and go-live phases, making design decisions as implementation challenges arise.

• Develop a roadmap for future automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ownership of solution design for at least one live Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance) implementation, including leading design workshops and documentation.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.

• A solid understanding of SAP FI/CO or its Oracle equivalent.

• Knowledge of how close and reconciliation data flows between ERP systems and the automation layer.

• Experience conducting workshops with finance users and translating their feedback into a feasible and testable design.

• Capability to engage with senior finance stakeholders and justify design choices.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Candidates must be located in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, or Czechia.

• A finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar) is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Practical experience with Redwood builds, BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing is beneficial but not essential.

• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, including knowledge of SOX or similar audit controls, is advantageous but not required.
