Finance Automation Solution Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the solution design for a finance-operations automation initiative utilizing Redwood Finance Automation.

• Collaborate with finance process owners to assess current record-to-report procedures.

• Determine which processes to automate and the order of execution.

• Create the solution design for engineering implementation.

• Assist in the design throughout the build, testing, and go-live phases.

• Make design choices when the proposed solution encounters real-world implementation challenges.

• Develop automation strategies for period-end closings, reconciliations, journals, and intercompany transactions.

• Assess where standard Redwood capabilities are adequate and where extensions are warranted.

• Design integrations with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other source systems.

• Formulate rules for balance-sheet auto-certification, including controls, approvals, and audit trails.

• Provide guidance to engineers during the build phase and evaluate the completed work against the design.

• Establish a testing strategy and acceptance criteria in collaboration with finance users.

• Develop a roadmap for future automation phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ownership of solution design in at least one active Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance) implementation.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.

• Proficient understanding of SAP FI/CO or its Oracle counterpart.

• Knowledge of how close and reconciliation data interacts between the ERP and the automation layer.

• Experience facilitating workshops with finance users to convert requirements into a viable and testable design.

• Capability to engage with senior finance stakeholders and justify design choices.

• Candidates must be located in the United Kingdom.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Submission of CV and availability for start date is mandatory.

• A brief description of the latest Redwood implementation, encompassing finance processes, connected ERP, and personal design choices is required.

• Beneficial but not mandatory: hands-on experience with Redwood build; familiarity with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing; finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar); experience in financial services or regulated industries including SOX or similar audit controls.
