Finance Automation Solution Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the solution design for finance automation utilizing Redwood Finance Automation.

• Evaluate the existing record-to-report processes in collaboration with controllers and finance operations leaders.

• Create a target automation strategy for period-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany processes.

• Document the solution design for engineering implementation purposes.

• Determine which processes are addressed by standard Redwood capabilities and identify areas where extensions are warranted.

• Design integrations with SAP S/4HANA or ECC, as well as other source systems.

• Develop auto-certification rules for the balance sheet, including controls, approvals, and audit trails.

• Provide guidance to engineers throughout the build process and review deliverables against the established design.

• Establish a testing strategy and acceptance criteria in collaboration with finance users.

• Assist in the design throughout the build, testing, and go-live phases.

• Make design choices when implementation conditions diverge from the initial design.

• Formulate a roadmap for subsequent automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven solution design ownership on a minimum of one live Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance) implementation.

• At least 8 years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.

• Familiarity with SAP FI/CO or its Oracle equivalent.

• Understanding of data flows related to close and reconciliation between the ERP and automation layers.

• Experience conducting workshops with finance users and converting requirements into feasible, testable designs.

• Capability to collaborate with senior finance stakeholders and justify design decisions effectively.

• Must be available to work remotely from Romania.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Preferred but not mandatory: hands-on experience with Redwood build.

• Preferred but not mandatory: experience with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing.

• Preferred but not mandatory: finance qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar.

• Preferred but not mandatory: experience in financial services or other regulated industries, including SOX or similar audit controls.
