Finance Automation Solution Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the solution design for finance automation utilizing Redwood Finance Automation.

• Evaluate the current record-to-report processes in collaboration with controllers and finance operations leaders.

• Develop target automation strategies for period-end close, reconciliations, journals, and intercompany transactions.

• Determine applicable standard Redwood functionalities and identify areas where extensions are warranted.

• Create integrations with SAP S/4HANA or ECC along with other source systems.

• Formulate rules for balance sheet auto-certification, including controls, approvals, and audit trails.

• Provide guidance to engineers throughout the building phase and assess deliverables against the established design.

• Establish testing strategies and acceptance criteria in collaboration with finance users.

• Stay engaged through the building, testing, and go-live phases, making design decisions as practical realities arise.

• Develop a roadmap for future automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have ownership of solution design for at least one live implementation of Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance), which includes conducting design workshops and drafting the design.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.

• Proficient knowledge of SAP FI/CO or its Oracle counterpart.

• Comprehension of how close and reconciliation data transitions between the ERP and the automation layer.

• Proven experience in leading workshops with finance users and translating their insights into actionable designs for building and testing.

• Capability to collaborate with senior finance stakeholders and justify design choices.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Consultants must reside in the Netherlands.

• Desirable but not mandatory: hands-on experience with Redwood builds; familiarity with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing; finance qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar; experience in financial services or other regulated industries, including SOX or similar audit controls.
