Finance Automation Solution Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the solution design for finance automation utilizing Redwood Finance Automation.

• Evaluate current record-to-report processes in collaboration with controllers and finance operations leaders.

• Create a design for the automation of period-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.

• Assess which standard Redwood functionalities are applicable and identify areas where extensions are warranted.

• Develop integrations with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other relevant source systems.

• Establish rules for balance sheet auto-certification, including controls, approvals, and audit trails.

• Mentor engineers during the build phase and review their outputs against the solution design.

• Formulate a test strategy and acceptance criteria in partnership with finance users.

• Create a roadmap for future automation phases following the initial process implementation.

• Collaborate with finance process owners to gain insights into current closing processes and set automation priorities.

• Assist in the design throughout the build, testing, and go-live stages, making informed decisions when implementation challenges arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ownership of solution design for at least one live implementation of Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance), which includes conducting design workshops and documentation.

• A minimum of 8 years in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.

• Solid understanding of SAP FI/CO or its Oracle counterpart.

• Knowledge of data flow for closing and reconciliation between the ERP and automation layers.

• Experience leading workshops with finance users and transforming their feedback into a viable, testable design.

• Capability to engage with senior finance stakeholders and justify design choices.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Consultants must reside in Czechia.

• A CV and available start date are necessary for application submission.

• A brief overview of the most recent Redwood implementation, detailing the processes involved, connected ERP systems, and personal design contributions.

• Beneficial but not mandatory: practical experience with Redwood build; familiarity with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing; finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar); experience in financial services or regulated industries including SOX or equivalent audit controls.
