Finance Automation Solution Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the current record-to-report processes in collaboration with controllers and finance operations leaders.

• Develop a target automation strategy for period-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.

• Create documentation for the solution design to facilitate engineering implementation.

• Determine applicable standard Redwood capabilities and identify areas where extensions are warranted.

• Design integrations with SAP S/4HANA or ECC, along with other source systems.

• Establish rules for balance sheet auto-certification, including controls, approvals, and audit trails.

• Provide guidance to engineers during the build phase and review the delivered work in alignment with the design.

• Define the testing strategy and acceptance criteria in collaboration with finance users.

• Formulate a roadmap for future automation initiatives.

• Remain engaged throughout the build, testing, and go-live phases, making design decisions as necessary based on implementation realities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ownership of solution design for at least one live implementation of Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance), including conducting design workshops and producing the design documentation.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.

• Proficient knowledge of SAP FI/CO or its Oracle counterpart.

• Familiarity with the data flows involved in closing and reconciliation between the ERP and automation layers.

• Experience in leading workshops with finance users and converting their requirements into a workable and testable design.

• Capacity to collaborate with senior finance stakeholders and justify design choices effectively.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Candidates must be located in Bulgaria.

• Desirable but not mandatory: hands-on experience with Redwood builds; familiarity with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing; a finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar); experience in financial services or another regulated industry, including SOX or similar audit controls.
