Finance and Administration Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ethiopia.

📋 Description

• Process invoices, receipts, and expense reports in accordance with Simprints’ financial policies and procedures.

• Assist with monthly financial reconciliations and reporting to the HQ Finance team.

• Help track project budgets and alert relevant stakeholders to any variances.

• Ensure adherence to local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct OFAC screenings of funding recipients.

• Oversee the distribution of cash to participants via mobile money or local banks.

• Maintain controls to guarantee that funding reaches its intended recipients.

• Keep accurate financial records to support audits and internal reviews.

• Conduct market assessments, ensuring an annual review of all core/common costs.

• Manage the daily operations of the Ethiopia office, including supplies, facilities, and logistics.

• Coordinate travel, visas, and accommodation for staff and visitors.

• Support the country project manager in facilitating discussions with government offices and partners to secure necessary approvals and documents.

• Serve as the primary point of contact with local vendors, service providers, and office partners.

• Lead procurement and vendor management in accordance with organisational policies.

• Conduct ad hoc vehicle safety checks.

• Book training venues and assist with all administrative aspects of routine meetings and trainings.

• Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for staff and consultants in collaboration with the HQ People team.

• Maintain accurate local HR files and documentation.

• Assist with timesheet collection, leave tracking, and local HR compliance requirements.

• Act as a local point of contact for operational queries related to personnel.
