Field Support Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the company representative at client locations, upholding the highest standards of professional integrity.

• Facilitate the go-live process for new EV charging sites by coordinating on-site activities and identifying any risks or delays to the Commissioning Engineer.

• Perform inspections on new vehicles to confirm their readiness and document findings prior to site activation.

• Assist technicians with asset assessments, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing customer assets on-site as necessary.

• Adhere to established safety protocols to ensure compliance with both company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Keep comprehensive, precise, and timely records for commissioning activities, inspections, and completed tasks using the company’s asset management and project tracking systems.

• Support operations of high-voltage chargers, which includes executing plug cycles and addressing service requests during commissioning.

• Carry out low-voltage battery replacements and jump-starts when required.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a tidy work environment.

• Cultivate and uphold strong customer service abilities throughout the go-live process.

• Engage in training programs and hands-on learning experiences.

• Outstanding attention to detail with a high standard for precise and organized documentation.

• Proven time-management skills, a robust work ethic, and a dedication to continuous process enhancement.

• Proficient in using computers and standard software, including documentation tools, spreadsheets, and asset/project management platforms.

• Automotive Technology certification from an accredited institution is preferred (not mandatory).

• Eagerness to develop project management and project coordination abilities; previous experience is advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and AC skills.

• Capability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to lift 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Must live within a reasonable distance from a major airport.
