This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Supervise the installation of Daikin HVAC products to guarantee correct setup and effective operation.
• Execute and assess Manual J and D reports to verify the appropriateness of HVAC system design.
• Offer technical assistance through phone, XOi, and email to field teams and contractors.
• Address field-related issues regarding system design, installation obstacles, or product performance.
• Provide on-site technical support.
• Compile detailed field service reports that document pertinent information and solutions.
• Establish and commission control systems, which include refrigerant charging, equipment addressing, operational modifications, and field configuration.
• Conduct training sessions on installation techniques, system commissioning, control setup, and troubleshooting for distributors and dealers.
• Gather and analyze system performance data utilizing Daikin diagnostic tools and offer feedback focused on solutions for customers.
• Educate customers on the operation, maintenance, and control scheduling of their systems.
• Carry out direct installation, service, or support of Daikin systems as needed.
• At least 5 years of practical installation and technical service experience in the HVAC sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of refrigeration, airflow dynamics, HVAC principles, and system design.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Proficient in clearly communicating technical concepts, challenges, and solutions.
• Technical knowledge in conveying HVAC product functionality to end users and technicians.
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent documentation and problem-solving abilities.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to fulfill essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to work in diverse environments such as attics, rooftops, and crawlspaces.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
• Significant availability for travel, up to 75%.
• An Associate’s degree is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
• EPA/RSES, NATE, Title 24 expertise, or California contractor license is preferred, but not required.
