Field Specialist, Field Services Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Services and repairs various office equipment at customer sites, typically within a designated geographic region.

• May be regarded as a specialist for certain products.

• Focuses on the servicing and repair of a core group of highly intricate office products.

• Oversees territory management, inventory control, and customer relations.

• Provides second-level technical assistance to fellow technicians.

• Proactively generates revenue opportunities through supply leads, contract sales, network support contract leads, as well as equipment and print assessment leads.

• Executes a comprehensive range of servicing and repair procedures, including diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on a core set of highly complex office products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Requires a high level of technical expertise typically acquired through the completion of a technical school and over 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years as a Technology Service Consultant I.

• Mandates 1 Industry Certification and consistent performance that meets or exceeds expectations for at least 2 years.

• Requires a valid state driver's license and a minimum level of auto insurance coverage as per Ricoh policy for roles involving extensive personal vehicle use for company business.

• Requires a solid working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and electronics.

• Requires expert proficiency with the assigned equipment.

• Demonstrates a skilled and methodical approach to problem resolution.

• Possesses strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.

• Exhibits excellent customer service skills, including the capability to follow up to ensure resolution of issues.
