This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Conduct inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functioning while identifying faults and failures.
β’ Make adjustments to equipment and repair or replace defective components or systems as necessary to restore them to original manufacturing specifications.
β’ Confirm the proper operation of repaired equipment.
β’ Supervise the commissioning process of new equipment.
β’ Complete time sheets, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists with accuracy.
β’ Keep abreast of industry trends, customer needs, product developments, and technical best practices.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ A diploma or certificate in a relevant field (mechanical/electrical) or equivalent experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
β’ A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with surface mining equipment.
β’ Proficiency in both French and English.
β’ Previous experience with Sandvik equipment or products is considered an asset.
β’ Capability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
β’ Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on mining equipment.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Proficient in computer skills and experienced with Microsoft software.
β’ A valid driver's license is required, along with a willingness to travel to mine sites and across Canada as necessary.
