Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functioning while identifying faults and failures.

• Make adjustments to equipment and repair or replace defective components or systems as necessary to restore them to original manufacturing specifications.

• Confirm the proper operation of repaired equipment.

• Supervise the commissioning process of new equipment.

• Complete time sheets, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists with accuracy.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, customer needs, product developments, and technical best practices.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A diploma or certificate in a relevant field (mechanical/electrical) or equivalent experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with surface mining equipment.

• Proficiency in both French and English.

• Previous experience with Sandvik equipment or products is considered an asset.

• Capability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.

• Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on mining equipment.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in computer skills and experienced with Microsoft software.

• A valid driver's license is required, along with a willingness to travel to mine sites and across Canada as necessary.
