Field Services Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver hands-on mechanical assistance during the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of FLSmidth pumps, cyclones, and valves.

• Help mine site personnel maximize their equipment's performance, enhancing uptime, efficiency, and longevity.

• Collaborate with our sales team to pinpoint opportunities for upgrading or replacing competitor equipment with FLS solutions.

• Conduct basic process assessments, including pump sizing and cyclone simulations (training will be provided if necessary).

• Provide customer training on the safe operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of our PCV products.

• Create clean and professional field reports that document your activities and recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of mechanical experience, ideally in mining, heavy industry, or with rotating equipment.

• A college diploma or degree in a relevant technical field is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Practical experience with slurry pumps, cyclones, valves, or comparable equipment.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and a talent for resolving mechanical issues under pressure.

• Capable of working independently while effectively communicating with clients and team members, representing the company professionally on-site.

• Willingness to travel frequently—anticipate 50–75% travel throughout Canada.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential.

• Familiarity with basic software tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
