Field Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• Carry out on-site installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of synchronous and induction machines, as well as excitation and AVR systems and variable speed drive systems.

• Address requests for emergency repairs and services promptly.

• Offer technical guidance and support to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer locations.

• Draft technical reports, order materials, obtain quotations, prepare job status updates, customer reports, and manage time and expense sheets in a complete, timely, and detailed manner.

• Provide leadership and technical oversight to skilled labor performing tasks on customer sites.

• Uphold a strong safety mindset to ensure that the work executed aligns with the technical requirements set forth by GE safety standards.

• Generate timely and precise technical reports for customer records, serving as a reference for future outages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 5 years of field experience with variable speed drive systems.
