
Field Service Technician – Laboratory Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and basic servicing of Metrohm laboratory instruments at client locations.
• Diagnose and repair instrumentation problems as required.
• Offer technical assistance to customers in person, via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams.
• Record service activities and keep service documentation up to date.
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Efficiently manage and prioritize service requests over a vast geographic area.
• Participate in training sessions at Metrohm USA headquarters located in Tampa, Florida.
• Strong mechanical skills and proficiency in troubleshooting.
• Capability to test, diagnose, and repair technical equipment.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with internal teams.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the designated territory.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Laboratory experience, including knowledge of laboratory equipment and practices.
• Previous experience in technical service, maintenance, or field service.
• Experience with work-related travel.
