Field Service Technician III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Provide timely and efficient responses to customer installation, maintenance, and service inquiries.

• Maintain and service electromechanical devices like ATMs and self-checkout systems within a designated area.

• Supervise hardware upkeep, installations, network oversight, multi-vendor maintenance, and software assistance.

• Apply technical expertise to peripherals, large-scale printers, plotters, enterprise servers, communication devices, networks, and item processing sorters.

• Execute maintenance repairs and system overhauls, including modular component swaps and unit replacements.

• Address network issues related to faults, traffic, configuration, security, and remote system access.

• Collect customer data for invoicing purposes.

• Record all customer interactions and activities while tracking expenses incurred from service delivery.

• Organize and prioritize customer concerns, resolve issues on-site, escalate matters as necessary, and maintain ongoing communication with customers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of systems architecture, database management systems, and network/system administration.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe systems, and imaging software.

• A+ Certification, CompTIA N+ Certification, proficiency in PC skills, basic electronics knowledge, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.

• Over 3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.

• Preference is given to local candidates; this position does not offer paid relocation, and applicants must be ready to start work immediately in the designated geographic area.

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate Degree or higher is preferred.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.

• Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

• A valid driver's license and a driving history that meets NCR's fleet requirements are necessary.

• Ability to execute essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Willingness to travel extensively, drive for several hours daily, work rotating and weekend shifts, and lift and carry tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.

• Capability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repeatedly grasp and manipulate objects that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
