This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Provide exceptional customer service at municipal and industrial client locations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, regular repairs, calibration, and verification of Hach instruments.
• Adhere to established company standards for servicing instrumentation.
• Foster a positive customer experience and act as the primary on-site contact for technical and service-related queries.
• Timely submit accurate service reports that impact billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failures.
• Comply with safe work practices as outlined in company policy.
• Carry out administrative tasks that support service visits.
• Travel daily to customer locations, generally within a 2-hour radius of the home office.
• Provide support to customers throughout the Tampa-area territory.
• Service instruments in environments that may include NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2).
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of field service experience and/or experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
• Ability to rent a car and/or book hotel accommodations in accordance with applicable state laws is necessary.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is required.
• An associate or technical degree is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with MS Office products is necessary.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as ServiceMax and/or Salesforce is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to travel daily to customer sites is necessary.
• Capability to undertake overnight stays, with 65–75% of weekly travel typically involving overnight accommodations.
• Willingness to travel to other states within the region for trips lasting up to one week is required.
• Comprehensive 10-week training program, including 8 weeks in the field with a dedicated trainer and 3 weeks of classroom training in Loveland, CO.
