This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Address daily service repair demands while enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Install, maintain, and repair field equipment efficiently.
• Provide necessary training to customers as required.
• Keep records of inspections, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Manage the ordering, installation, and return of parts while overseeing the repair-parts cycle time.
• Review logs for outstanding issues and generate customer reports.
• Engage in service sales opportunities and revenue-generating programs.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and testing equipment.
• Evaluate equipment performance and suggest modifications or enhancements.
• Offer technical support to customers and service personnel.
• Participate in site assessments, pilot service initiatives, and meetings.
• Maintain communication with senior Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and Product Managers.
• Control costs and work to minimize expenses.
• Travel to customer locations, including airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, and cruise ships.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental, export-control, and security regulations.
• Associate’s degree, relevant trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical disciplines.
• Alternatively, 1–3 years of comparable work and life experience in a field service role related to electrical or mechanical systems.
• Proficient in computer usage.
• Familiarity with all programs in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to learn specialized software quickly.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, telephone, and customer service abilities.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.
• Quick responsiveness to customer concerns.
• Willingness and readiness to travel on short notice.
• Ability to pass TSA vetting and a federal background check when necessary.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. personal security clearance when necessary.
• Capability to lift and carry 80 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull 200 lbs.
• Ability to move or manipulate equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, and work in unconventional positions.
• Ability to operate safely in extreme environments around hazardous industrial equipment.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime, and be available beyond standard Monday–Friday hours when required.
