This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Address daily service repair demands while enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Install, repair, and maintain equipment on-site.
• Provide necessary training to customers.
• Record inspections, maintenance, and repair activities, ensuring prompt submission of paperwork.
• Manage the ordering, installation, and return of parts, overseeing the repair-parts cycle time.
• Review logs for unresolved issues and compile formal reports for customers.
• Engage in service sales opportunities to support revenue initiatives.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and testing equipment.
• Evaluate equipment performance using field-support data and suggest enhancements.
• Offer technical assistance to customers and fellow service professionals.
• Take part in site surveys, pilot service operations, and meetings as necessary.
• Foster business communication and relationships with senior Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and Product Managers.
• Monitor and reduce costs effectively.
• Travel daily to customer sites within the Detroit Metro area, including Detroit airport.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental, export-control, and security regulations.
• Associate’s Degree, relevant trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields.
• 1–3 years of pertinent electrical or mechanical field-service experience may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.
• 1–3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in a field setting.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with all programs in the MS Office Suite.
• Capability to learn specialized software applications.
• Fundamental technical understanding of Trace and X-Ray technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• A customer-oriented approach and teamwork mindset.
• Quick responsiveness to customer concerns.
• Willingness and capability to travel on short notice.
• Ability to work overtime and outside standard Monday–Friday hours as necessary.
• Must successfully complete TSA vetting and a federal background check if SSI access is required.
• U.S. Personal Security Clearance may be needed.
• Capability to lift or carry 80 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull 200 lbs.
• Proficiency in moving or manipulating equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs using assistive devices.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, and work in unconventional positions.
• Competence in working safely in extreme environments around hazardous industrial equipment.
