This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist customers with Amada Punch Presses, which includes installation, service, operational training, networking, programming training, software training, application training, and training on punching automation.
• Carry out comparable service, installation, training, and support tasks for Press Brakes, Shears, various general fabricating machines, and automated material loading/unloading systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, electrical, control, and network systems.
• Adhere to layout drawings, blueprints, and mechanical and electrical schematics during equipment installation and servicing.
• Fill out daily service/status reports along with weekly expense reports.
• Oversee the entire equipment installation process at customer locations using hand tools, which may require climbing, bending, and stooping.
• Deliver training on operation, applications, software, part programming, and customer service.
• Utilize Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
• Travel frequently within the Buena Park/Los Angeles, CA region and nearby cities, including occasional overnight trips.
• Report directly to the Regional Service Manager.
• Strong proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
• Ability to accurately follow layout drawings and blueprints used in equipment installation.
• Proficient communication skills in the English language.
• Exceptional customer relations skills and effective follow-through.
• Competence in operation, applications, software, and part programming.
• Familiarity with Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
• Regular travel within assigned regions is required.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Skill in analyzing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in using hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and oscilloscope.
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows operating system.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Routine travel within assigned areas with occasional overnight stays.
• A 4-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2-year degree with relevant work experience is preferred.
