This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Troubleshoot, service, install, deploy, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer locations.
• Maintain field service logs and job files until completion.
• Conduct follow-up calls with customers to enhance satisfaction.
• Install, repair, and maintain field equipment while providing customer training.
• Respond to emergency and unscheduled service calls within established response-time objectives.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and accurately document inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Order, install, and return parts; manage the repair-parts cycle time effectively.
• Keep precise inventories of parts and tools.
• Review logs for unresolved issues and prepare customer reports.
• Engage in service sales opportunities and revenue initiatives.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and testing equipment.
• Evaluate equipment performance using field-support data and suggest improvements.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and service professionals.
• Participate in site surveys, pilot programs, meetings, special projects, and report preparation.
• Enhance technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies.
• Collaborate with senior Field Service Technicians and Product Managers.
• Control and minimize costs while maximizing revenue generation.
• Submit expenses, timecards, and administrative documentation punctually.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental, export-control, and security regulations.
• Associate’s Degree, trade certification in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields, or military training in electrical, mechanical, or electronics.
• Equivalent work and life experience of 1–3 years in a related electrical or mechanical field service role is acceptable.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly within the MS Office Suite.
• Capability to learn specialized software programs.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in the field.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
• Consistent responsiveness to customer concerns.
• Willingness and ability to travel on short notice.
• Capacity to maintain current technical certifications.
• Ability to pass TSA vetting and a federal background check for Sensitive Security Information access.
• Physical capability to lift/carry 80 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull 200 lbs.
• Ability to move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs using specified assistance devices.
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full-body mobility.
• Ability to work safely in extreme environments and around hazardous industrial equipment.
• Capacity to manage stressful situations and juggle multiple projects.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime, and hours outside of standard Monday–Friday when required.
