Field Service Technician I – 4-Day Workweeks, Company Vehicle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration/verification of instrumentation following established company standards.

• Foster a positive customer experience and act as the on-site contact for technical and service-related inquiries.

• Operate in a diverse range of municipal and industrial environments, including but not limited to drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, and food and beverage processing facilities.

• Submit timely and accurate service reports that impact billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failures.

• Adhere to safe work practices in accordance with company policies.

• Carry out administrative duties to support service visits.

• Engage in daily travel to customer locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is required; an Associate's or technical degree is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

• A strong mechanical aptitude is essential, alongside experience in preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair.

• A minimum of 2 years of field service experience and/or roles involving customer interaction is preferred.

• A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the capability to rent a vehicle and/or book hotel accommodations in compliance with state laws are mandatory.

• This role necessitates daily travel to customer sites, typically within a 2-hour radius of the home office.

• On average, 65-75% of weekly travel will involve overnight stays.

• Occasionally, travel to other states within the region is anticipated, with assignments lasting up to one week at a time.
