
Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Diagnose, repair, and carry out preventative maintenance on a substantial fleet of earthmoving machinery.
• Identify and rectify electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on excavators, loaders, trenchers, forklifts, and additional equipment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while executing work assignments.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet machinery.
• Execute mechanical repairs following inspections and breakdown evaluations.
• Document comprehensive repair details on work orders, including equipment model, serial number, and hour-meter readings.
• Lubricate moving components and operate repaired machinery to confirm compliance with specifications.
• Uphold the cleanliness and professional appearance of the service vehicle and personal presentation.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record and comply with CDL-related rules and regulations.
• Travel frequently to project locations and stay at assignments for extended durations.
• Undertake other responsibilities as designated by the Manager.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
• Technical School Certificate and 2 years of relevant work experience, or 5 years of pertinent work experience.
• Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Proven track record of safe and dependable work habits.
• Capability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy earthmoving machinery.
• Proficient understanding of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
• Capability to perform repetitive lifting, standing, kneeling, sitting, grasping, twisting, and climbing stairs/ladders for extended periods.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test.
• Per Diem at the GSA Rate (minimum $178/day).
