This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Develop and uphold production, cleaning, equipment maintenance, equipment installation, and maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each collection site.
• Travel to designated collection plants.
• Prepare and submit written reports after each visit, distributing them to APC leadership and collection site contacts.
• Diagnose and repair production equipment at collection sites.
• Ensure that collection plants produce high-quality plasma.
• Serve as a primary contact for collection site employees.
• Collect samples throughout the plasma collection system to ensure quality plasma production.
• Work in areas assigned by management when not traveling.
• Be available on short notice to visit and troubleshoot collection sites.
• Assist with the construction of new collection sites and the installation of new equipment.
• Troubleshoot and program PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-operated equipment.
• Maintain the company vehicle.
• Support special or ongoing projects as directed by the Field Tech Services Manager.
• Provide assistance in other work-related areas as requested.
• Travel required between 75–100%.
• Must reside in Eastern Nebraska.
• An Associates, Bachelors, or Technical/Vocational degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of collection sites, plasma equipment operation, and equipment maintenance is essential.
• Familiarity with site policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements is necessary.
• Ability to troubleshoot and program PLC/PLC-operated equipment.
• Skills in welding stainless steel, working on pumps, operating reverse osmosis systems, and possessing general knowledge of refrigeration systems, centrifuges, and PLC controllers are required.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, metal fabrication, and carpentry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, welders, hand wrenches, power tools, and cutting torches.
• Capability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Basic analytical skills to ascertain appropriate maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge and ability to enforce safety techniques.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Capacity to interpret both oral and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with APC personnel, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other business contacts.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and determine work assignments and methods.
• Maintain composure and professionalism in all situations.
• Proficient in operating computers, telephones, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Willingness to work daily, on weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk continuously, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach above shoulder, climb, work at heights, lift and carry weights from 1 to 100 pounds, operate machinery and vehicles, read gauges, use office equipment and computers, and perform frequent hand and foot movements.
• Good vision and hearing, corrected to normal if necessary.
