Field Service Technician – Cincinnati/Columbus, OH

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Travel frequently to repair, maintain, and initiate specified Bartelt Packaging equipment.

• Act as a communication link between the customer and the Company.

• Installation, integration, repair, and troubleshooting of flexible machinery.

• Ensure compliance with established inspection, testing, quality, and operating standards.

• Direct and supervise customer personnel during machinery installations, integrations, or servicing.

• May offer on-site customization of machine programs.

• Maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide technical telephone support to customers.

• Offer factory floor support when not engaged in customer field service or travel.

• Conduct training for customers on the operation and maintenance of machinery.

• Assist customers with aftermarket parts requirements while in the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in machinery repair.

• Knowledge and skills in mechanical principles.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the US and internationally.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A solid customer service orientation.

• Proficiency in Windows and MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Exceptional customer service skills; capable of training customer personnel on equipment.

• Experience with flexible packaging machinery is preferred.

• PLC programming experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems is beneficial.
