Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate advanced machinery at customer sites.

• Engage with customers and collaborate with cross-functional service teams to support and launch ZEISS products.

• Contribute to process improvements centered on the installation and maintenance of custom equipment.

• Assist the R&D team with engineering tasks related to design, construction, and testing of new systems.

• Provide support for production systems during the assembly and setup phases.

• Accurately complete necessary administrative documentation.

• Operate independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and innovative environment.

• Travel 90–100% within the service area, including international travel as required.

• Undertake additional duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Completion of a technical school program, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Electronics or Industrial Mechanics is acceptable.

• Training and experience from a Military Technical School can also be considered.

• Prior experience using hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment is necessary.

• Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems is required.

• Capability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.

• Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours each work week.

• Ability to function in an industrial production shop floor setting.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset are essential.

• Previous experience in installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machinery, or computer systems is preferred.

• Experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting is preferred, though not mandatory.
