Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Undergo approximately three months of comprehensive field and classroom training.

• Visit customer locations within the region following the completion of training.

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate sophisticated measuring instruments.

• Engage in hands-on work with advanced CMMs, utilizing mechanical and electronic skills.

• Record service activities and maintain precise service documentation.

• Operate independently while representing ZEISS in a dynamic and innovative setting.

• Expect to travel 70–90% within the designated region.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the Allentown, PA area or its surroundings.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required; alternatively, completion of a technical school program, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or military technical training and experience is acceptable.

• Previous experience with hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment is necessary.

• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems is required.

• Capability to lift a single object weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.

• Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, inclusive of regular and overtime hours.

• Ability to function in an industrial production shop floor environment.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Prior experience in installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machinery, or computer systems is preferred.

• Experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting is advantageous but not essential.
