Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Install hardware and computer components on large commercial trucks.

• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges in a professional manner.

• Offer technical support to the Technical Support Team.

• Prepare customer shipments, which includes light in-house component assembly, hardware configuration, unit burn-in, data logging, and packing/shipping.

• Manage return material authorizations (RMAs).

• Oversee internal and external paperwork and maintain accurate records.

• Repair hardware and software units, diagnose issues, and report bugs to development engineers.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Travel throughout the UK and Northern Ireland up to 70% of the time, with project trips lasting up to two weeks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong inclination towards computer hardware and technology, along with some mechanical skills.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities.

• Familiarity with the basic tools, principles, and procedures for installing computer systems in heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.

• Proven history of high-quality electronics installations.

• High personal motivation, initiative, and adaptability.

• Experience in troubleshooting both computer hardware and software.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Experience in effective communication with peers, other departments, and external customers.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Tech-savvy nature.

• Strong creative problem-solving capabilities.

• Quick learner with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

• Experience using CRM software, ideally Salesforce.

• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office Suites.

• Hands-on capability to work collaboratively with team members.

• Commitment to high standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.

• Willingness and ability to travel across the UK and Northern Ireland up to 70% of the time.
